So big!

Miles continues to grow and change what seems like every day. Each morning when I go down to get him from his crib I ask him if he grew overnight! He also learns something new everyday. Its incredible. One day he found his hands, then was sucking his thumb, then found his feet...it just happens all of a sudden. Once he hit 3 months it was as though he could hold up his head and sit up within a day. I am constantly amazed by this little man and I know I will continue to be as he continues to grow up. The smallest things he does feel like the most incredible accomplishments...even putting his foot into his mouth...genius!

A day at the Zoo

Miles had his first trip to the zoo this summer with Grandma, Grandpa, Todd and I. It was a hot day and unfortunately I don't think Miles will remember much, but we can't wait to take him again when he is a bit older and can take it all in! I think his favorite part was being carried by Grandpa and Dad all day!

Hank

My sweet friend Maria brought Miles the cutest little bear and we named him Hank. Well, Hank was the first object that Miles would get excited about. He sits on the changing table next to Miles's head and Miles goes crazy for him. One of Miles favorite spots is his changing table. He will sit there and talk to us and wave around his arms and legs for as long as Todd and I will sit there with him. We think it has a lot to do with Hank.

As Miles has gotten his movements more controlled he now enjoys talking to Hank with his voice as well as his arms. He will roll to the side and wave his arms back and forth vigorously. Its hilarious! He squeals with delight. We take Hank everywhere with us and he is Miles best friend. So here are some shout outs to Hank.

The other bestie in Miles life...Dad

Beach picnic

One lovely Sunday evening Todd and I decided we needed to do a picnic. Miles loves his beach walks but we wanted to get him in the sand. He loved it! We took some sammies, pineapple and cheese and crackers and we were set! We had a great time hanging by the shore and enjoying the beautiful weather feeling grateful for where we get to call home.

Miles told us how much he was enjoying the picnic and blew out his outfit. We got to do a complete outfit change in the sand! We all managed. Once Miles was out of his seat and laying on his blanket in the sand he could not have been happier rolling and kicking away!

It was a great summer evening and we all loved our little family time!

Some fun 1st's...

This summer has brought a lot of first's for all of us. Here are some first's that Miles experienced that were pretty special. He is loving to sit by himself on the couch like a big boy. He is becoming less of a bobble head and gets quite proud when we tell him how awesome he is at sitting up. He got to meet his Auntie Liz and Uncle Kristian who visited from Hawaii, met Julian and Oliver for some play time and started being able to hold toys. All big steps for this little man and his active social life.

Who doesn't love a good bath?

Todd is and has always been a water baby. We were really hopeful that Miles would also love the water. So far so good. This little fishy loves bath nights and I love washing his little head with those big eyes staring back at me. We sing, we laugh, it's just generally a good time. Here are some fun bath time moments...

Summer 2010 for 3 days

This summer has been unusually cool. I have so many cute little outfits for Miles for "summer" weather. Well, it was hot for about 3 days and we stayed inside and cranked the ac. Miles got to sport his diaper and not a whole lot else. He looked so sweet I couldn't resist a few pictures of the little man sacked out from the heat.
